  • Information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

  • You have authority to make the purchase.

  • You will use the website and purchased products for lawful purposes.

  • If you are purchasing for a company or organization, you have authority to act for that organization.

ContainerVista may request reasonable information to verify an order or customer identity.

3. Permitted Website Use

You may use the website for legitimate personal, commercial, informational, and purchasing purposes.

You may not knowingly:

  • Submit fraudulent orders

  • Provide materially false information

  • Attempt unauthorized access

  • Circumvent website security

  • Interfere with website operation

  • Introduce malicious software

  • Impersonate ContainerVista or another person

  • Use the website for unlawful activity

  • Misuse payment or account systems

  • Attempt to manipulate pricing or checkout systems

ContainerVista may restrict access where misuse, fraud, or security threats are reasonably suspected.

4. Product Information

ContainerVista aims to provide useful information about products offered through the website.

Depending on the product, listings may include:

  • Product type

  • Size

  • Dimensions

  • Condition

  • Color

  • Weight

  • Door configuration

  • Flooring

  • Electrical requirements

  • Refrigeration equipment

  • Modifications

  • Included accessories

  • Known defects

  • Manufacturer information

  • Certification information

However, products—particularly used equipment—may vary from one unit to another.

Customers should review the exact product listing before purchasing.

If a specification is important to your intended use, confirm it before completing the order.

5. Product Photographs

Photographs are intended to help customers understand the product being offered.

However:

  • Lighting may affect color

  • Screen displays may vary

  • Used products may have cosmetic marks

  • Representative images may not show every detail

  • Inventory condition can differ between individual units

Where photographs show the exact unit, those photographs form part of the information available for evaluating its condition.

Customers should ask questions before purchasing if appearance is especially important.

6. New and One-Trip Containers

Newer or one-trip containers typically have less previous use than older containers.

However, one-trip containers may still show:

  • Handling marks

  • Scratches

  • Minor dents

  • Paint imperfections

  • Transportation wear

“One trip” should not be interpreted as completely free from cosmetic marks.

Browse our New Shipping Containers for current options.

7. Used Containers and Equipment

Used shipping containers and commercial equipment may show signs of previous use.

Examples can include:

  • Dents

  • Scratches

  • Surface rust

  • Paint fading

  • Previous repairs

  • Flooring wear

  • Shipping markings

  • Cosmetic imperfections

These characteristics do not automatically constitute a defect when they are reasonably consistent with the advertised product condition.

Browse our Used Shipping Containers for current inventory.

8. Container Condition Terminology

Different condition terms have different meanings.

For example:

Wind and Watertight

Wind and Watertight, or WWT, commonly describes a container suitable for storage where the structure is intended to prevent ordinary weather from entering.

WWT does not automatically mean Cargo Worthy.

Cargo Worthy

Cargo Worthy generally refers to a container considered structurally suitable for cargo use after appropriate inspection.

It does not by itself guarantee current acceptance by every carrier or transport authority.

One Trip

One-trip generally refers to a container with limited cargo history.

CSC Plated

A CSC plate provides information relating to the container’s safety approval.

The existence of a plate alone does not necessarily establish that the container’s inspection status remains current.

Where freight approval is important, the individual container and documentation should be verified.

9. ISO and Freight Certification

A container’s dimensions, ISO designation, CSC plate, inspection status, and current transport eligibility are separate considerations.

ContainerVista does not represent that every container listed on the website is currently approved for international freight.

Customers requiring specific transportation status should confirm:

  • CSC plate

  • Inspection date or ACEP status

  • Container number

  • Structural condition

  • Carrier requirements

  • Relevant documentation

before purchasing.

10. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability.

Inventory can change without notice.

ContainerVista may:

  • Update inventory information

  • Correct availability information

  • Remove unavailable products

  • Decline an order for unavailable equipment

  • Offer an alternative product where the customer agrees

Submitting an order does not reserve inventory unless the applicable order terms state otherwise.

11. Pricing

Website prices are generally displayed in U.S. Dollars (USD).

Unless specifically stated otherwise, product prices may not include:

  • Delivery

  • Sales tax

  • Crane service

  • Specialized placement

  • Site preparation

  • Permit costs

  • Installation

  • Custom modifications

  • Third-party services

The amount applicable to a transaction may be shown through checkout, quotation, invoice, or written order confirmation.

12. Pricing Errors

ContainerVista aims to maintain accurate pricing.

However, typographical, technical, synchronization, or system errors can occur.

If an obvious material pricing error is identified before an order is finally accepted, ContainerVista may correct the error.

If payment has already been received, available resolutions may include:

  • Proceeding at the corrected price with customer agreement

  • Cancelling the affected order

  • Refunding the applicable payment

where appropriate.

13. Sales Tax

Sales and use tax treatment can depend on:

  • Delivery location

  • Product

  • Customer status

  • Exemption documentation

  • Applicable state and local rules

Tax-exempt customers may be required to provide valid documentation before the transaction is finalized.

Review our Sales Tax Policy for additional information.

14. Payments

Payment methods and requirements are governed by our Payment Policy.

Depending on the transaction, available payment methods may include:

  • Bank wire

  • ACH

  • Credit or debit card

  • Approved commercial arrangements

Payment availability can vary by order.

Unless different written terms apply, required payment must be received and verified before an order is released for applicable processing or delivery.

15. Payment Security

Customers should only use payment instructions provided through authorized ContainerVista channels.

Never provide:

  • Online banking passwords

  • Card PINs

  • Email passwords

  • Security-question answers

  • Complete banking login credentials

If payment instructions unexpectedly change, verify them before sending funds.

16. Order Acceptance

Submitting a quote request, order, or payment does not automatically guarantee final acceptance.

An order may require:

  1. Product availability confirmation

  2. Customer and order verification

  3. Payment verification

  4. Delivery review

  5. Written or electronic acceptance

ContainerVista may decline or cancel an order before final confirmation where reasonably necessary.

17. Quotations

Quotes may be subject to:

  • Expiration dates

  • Product availability

  • Freight availability

  • Delivery destination

  • Tax changes

  • Market changes

  • Modification requirements

A quotation does not necessarily reserve inventory unless expressly stated.

If a quote expires, updated pricing may be required.

18. Order Changes

Customers should review their order carefully before payment.

Changes requested after confirmation may affect:

  • Price

  • Availability

  • Delivery

  • Lead time

  • Tax

  • Modification schedule

ContainerVista may not be able to accommodate every requested change after processing begins.

19. Order Cancellation

Customers who need to cancel an order should contact ContainerVista as soon as possible.

Cancellation eligibility may depend on:

  • Order status

  • Product reservation

  • Freight already arranged

  • Custom work

  • Special procurement

  • Third-party services

  • Whether the product has shipped

Review our Return & Refund Policy for additional information.

20. Shipping and Delivery

Delivery is governed by our Shipping Policy.

Delivery arrangements may depend on:

  • Product type

  • Product size

  • Product weight

  • Pickup location

  • Delivery destination

  • Carrier availability

  • Site conditions

  • Required unloading equipment

Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing.

21. Customer Delivery Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.

This can include:

  • Correct address

  • Current telephone number

  • Site-access details

  • Gate dimensions

  • Placement instructions

  • Ground conditions

  • Overhead hazards

  • Known access restrictions

Customers are also responsible for preparing a reasonably safe delivery site.

22. Site Access

The customer should make sure the delivery vehicle can safely reach the intended placement area.

Potential obstacles include:

  • Narrow roads

  • Tight turns

  • Soft ground

  • Mud

  • Trees

  • Utility lines

  • Structures

  • Fences

  • Low entrances

  • Insufficient maneuvering room

A driver may refuse an unsafe placement.

23. Placement Decisions

Customers should identify the preferred placement direction before unloading.

However, the delivery driver retains authority to determine whether the requested placement can be completed safely.

Safety of:

  • The customer

  • Driver

  • Delivery vehicle

  • Product

  • Surrounding property

takes priority over the requested placement position.

24. Delivery Delays

Delivery may be affected by events outside reasonable control.

Examples include:

  • Severe weather

  • Traffic

  • Road closures

  • Mechanical problems

  • Carrier delays

  • Permit issues

  • Equipment availability

  • Site-access problems

  • Government restrictions

  • Natural disasters

ContainerVista will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes when information is available.

25. Failed Delivery Attempts

If delivery cannot be completed because of customer-controlled circumstances, additional costs may apply.

Examples include:

  • Incorrect address

  • Unprepared site

  • Unsafe ground

  • Blocked access

  • Insufficient clearance

  • Customer unavailable where required

  • Undisclosed site restrictions

Re-delivery, waiting time, storage, or additional transportation charges may apply depending on the circumstances.

26. Delivery Inspection

Customers should inspect products as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

For shipping containers, inspect items such as:

  • Size

  • Exterior

  • Doors

  • Locking gear

  • Flooring

  • Roof

  • Walls

  • Container number

  • Visible transportation damage

For mechanical equipment, inspect the relevant components and accessories.

27. Reporting Damage or Discrepancies

If the product appears materially different from what was ordered or shows significant transportation damage:

  1. Take photographs.

  2. Record identification information where available.

  3. Keep delivery paperwork.

  4. Contact ContainerVista promptly.

  5. Avoid repairs or modifications until the matter is reviewed unless immediate work is required for safety.

See our Return & Refund Policy.

28. Returns and Refunds

Returns, replacements, refunds, and product discrepancy claims are governed by our Return & Refund Policy.

Eligibility may depend on:

  • Product condition

  • Advertised description

  • Timing of the claim

  • Evidence provided

  • Whether the product was modified

  • Whether the issue existed before or after delivery

  • Applicable order terms

Normal cosmetic characteristics of used equipment do not automatically create a right to return.

29. Product Warranties

A product may have a warranty only when specifically stated in the applicable:

  • Product listing

  • Manufacturer documentation

  • Invoice

  • Quotation

  • Written order terms

ContainerVista does not represent that every product carries the same warranty.

Warranty coverage may vary based on:

  • Manufacturer

  • Product type

  • Condition

  • Age

  • Intended use

  • Installed equipment

Customers should confirm warranty terms before purchase when warranty coverage is important.

30. Warranty Exclusions

Where permitted by the applicable warranty terms and law, coverage may not apply to problems caused by:

  • Misuse

  • Neglect

  • Improper installation

  • Unauthorized modifications

  • Improper electrical connection

  • Improper maintenance

  • Accidents

  • Relocation damage

  • Environmental exposure

  • Normal wear

  • Incorrect site preparation

Manufacturer warranties may contain additional conditions.

31. Modified Containers

ContainerVista may offer modified containers or products.

Modifications can include:

  • Personnel doors

  • Windows

  • Roll-up doors

  • Insulation

  • Electrical systems

  • Lighting

  • Shelving

  • HVAC preparation

  • Interior finishes

  • Custom openings

Modified products may require different:

  • Pricing

  • Lead times

  • Delivery methods

  • Payment terms

  • Cancellation terms

  • Return conditions

Customers should review the agreed specification before fabrication begins.

32. Structural Modifications

Cutting or otherwise modifying a shipping container can affect its original structural characteristics.

Modified containers should not automatically be assumed to retain:

  • Original stacking capacity

  • Original cargo certification

  • Original structural rating

  • Freight eligibility

Engineering review may be appropriate for projects involving major structural changes.

33. Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC Work

Container products may include electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, or HVAC components.

Installation requirements vary.

Customers are responsible for confirming:

  • Voltage

  • Phase

  • Circuit requirements

  • Utility connections

  • Local code requirements

Qualified tradespeople should be used where required.

34. Refrigerated Containers

Refrigerated containers require additional review before purchase.

Important specifications may include:

  • Refrigeration-unit model

  • Temperature range

  • Refrigerant

  • Voltage

  • Phase

  • Electrical load

  • Service history

  • Current operating condition

Do not assume all reefers use the same electrical system.

Browse our Refrigerated Containers for available units.

35. Trailers and Towable Equipment

Where ContainerVista lists trailers or towable equipment, customers are responsible for verifying suitability for their intended use.

Relevant items can include:

  • VIN

  • GVWR

  • Brakes

  • Tires

  • Lights

  • Coupler

  • Breakaway equipment

  • Registration

  • Title requirements

A product being described as a trailer does not automatically establish current road compliance in every jurisdiction.

36. Ice Vending and Commercial Equipment

Commercial vending equipment may include mechanical, electrical, filtration, communications, and payment systems.

Used machines should be evaluated based on the specific unit.

Specifications such as:

  • Production capacity

  • Storage capacity

  • Electrical service

  • Water requirements

  • Filtration

  • Payment systems

  • Remote monitoring

may vary by model year and configuration.

ContainerVista does not guarantee sales volume, revenue, profitability, or return on investment for vending equipment or any other commercial product.

37. Intended Use

Customers are responsible for determining whether a product is appropriate for their intended use.

ContainerVista does not guarantee that every product will be suitable for every application.

For guidance on selecting a container, review our Shipping Container Buyer’s Guide.

38. Local Permits and Compliance

Customers are responsible for determining whether their intended installation requires:

  • Building permits

  • Zoning approval

  • HOA approval

  • Fire review

  • Electrical permits

  • Plumbing permits

  • Accessibility compliance

  • Foundation approval

  • Other local authorization

A portable product is not automatically permit-free.

ContainerVista does not guarantee that a product may legally be installed or used for a particular purpose at every location.

39. Professional Advice

Website content is provided for general product and purchasing information.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, it should not be treated as:

  • Engineering advice

  • Project approval

  • Future market value

Results depend on circumstances outside ContainerVista’s control.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ContainerVista will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website, products, or related services where such limitations are legally permitted.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

  • Misuse of products

  • Unlawful use

  • Unauthorized modification

  • Failure to follow applicable instructions

  • Failure to comply with local requirements

  • Improper installation

This section applies only to the extent permitted by law.

48. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, users agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or expenses arising from their material violation of these Terms, unlawful website use, or unauthorized use of products.

This provision does not waive or reduce rights that cannot legally be waived.

49. Force Majeure

ContainerVista will not be considered in breach of these Terms where performance is delayed or prevented by circumstances beyond reasonable control.

These may include:

  • Severe weather

  • Fire

  • Flood

  • Natural disasters

  • Transportation disruption

  • Carrier interruption

  • Labor disruption

  • Government action

  • War

  • Civil disturbance

  • Public emergency

  • Infrastructure failure

  • Widespread utility failure

  • Other comparable events outside reasonable control

ContainerVista will make reasonable efforts to resume affected performance when circumstances allow.

50. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises concerning:

  • Product

  • Order

  • Payment

  • Delivery

  • Refund

  • Website use

customers are encouraged to contact ContainerVista so the matter can first be reviewed directly.

Where possible, the parties should attempt to resolve legitimate disputes through reasonable communication.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

51. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law.

Where a written quotation, invoice, purchase agreement, or other signed agreement identifies a particular governing law or jurisdiction, that provision will apply to the extent permitted by law.

Mandatory consumer-protection laws and other rights that cannot legally be waived will continue to apply.

52. Changes to These Terms

ContainerVista may revise these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

Changes may result from:

  • Website updates

  • New products

  • Changes to purchasing processes

  • Changes in payment methods

  • Changes in delivery procedures

  • Legal or regulatory developments

  • Changes in business practices

The revised effective date should be shown at the top of this page.

Changes generally apply prospectively unless applicable law or an agreed transaction requires otherwise.

53. Severability

If a provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent legally permitted.

54. No Waiver

A failure by ContainerVista to enforce a provision on one occasion does not necessarily waive the right to enforce that provision later.

55. Entire Agreement

These Terms should be read together with the applicable:

Where a signed or expressly accepted product-specific agreement conflicts with general website terms, the more specific agreement may control for that transaction to the extent permitted by law.
